The Life and Times of Cycle Solutions Inc!
Exactly what is a "Lift and Luber?” A Lift and Luber is a member of the Cycle Solutions Inc. crew that literally lives their life for our customer. For 9 months a year our team travels from one side of the United States to the other. Traveling from rally to rally in our motorhomes literally towing our business behind us. Each of us has a family that generally gets the short end of the stick. All in the name of service. At any one time Cycle Solutions Inc. employs’s 6 to 7 mechanics. We all live together in fairly tight quarters. In fact one of our general interview questions is do you mind using a porta potty? Do you snore, do your feet stink? Can you cook and if so what is your specialty? In other words we actually sort of have our own "family.”
While building the Lift and Lube it was decided that we should have some fun with our lifestyle. We will be writing about the amusing things that happen to us during our travels. Having been on the road continuously since 2003 with the Cycle Solutions Inc. Mobile Tuning Center it never ceases to amaze me that crazy things happen. What better place to share our follies with the world. A way for us to document what we go thru to make the show go on.
Ever heard of The Bamafest? Happens every spring in Forkland Alabama. Just after Bikeweek in Daytona we rolled into the Bamafest and promptly sunk in the mud. Three straight days of heavy rain literally transformed a field of vendors and campers into a 100 acre mud bog. We were forced to wait till late Sunday afternoon before the bulldozer and tractors came to drag us out. Sitting still, all of our equipment literally sunk to the axles’. Here are a few photo’s to tell the story:

The Port-a-Potty Incident: Another amusing event that happened this spring at the Bamafest in Forkland Alabama was the port-a- potty incident. Picture if you will a $300,000 custom built motorhome buried to its belly in mud! Then picture the fact that there was no way in the world it could be driven to the dump station. In order to get un-stuck it was necessary to jettison as much weight as possible. Company President Chris Waddell and General Manager John Lamont were caught in this revealing spy photo proving that yes "shit” really does flow uphill. And yes it is possible to over fill a port-a-potty! Gravity was not on their side.
